چکیده
Autogenous self-healing of post-fire damaged concrete enables structure performance auto-recovery leading to reduced repair costs, less generated waste, and lower CO2 emissions. In this paper, improve the efficiency process understand underlying mechanism, 0.1 wt% MWCNT-modified pure cement paste subjected novel environmental stimulators was tested. High-temperature damage induced at 200 °C 400 °C, followed by a cyclic treatment with water, mixture water phosphate-based retarding admixture, limewater. The proposed solutions were compared based on crack closure, strength regains, porosity, chemical composition changes. surface closure after varied between 33% 60%, whereas for only admixture exposure obtained over 50% most considerable decrease in average width paste. highest values compressive recovery, equal 18% 14%, exceeding intact specimen's strength, observed healed Water an extended wetting phase enhanced recovery materials. Strong (r = 0.87) moderate 0.52) positive correlations temperature loading flexural parameters, respectively. Higher porosity interconnected network, caused high temperature, facilitated process. Porosity changes before healing pronounced contrast amount unhydrated cement, which did not exhibit noticeable mechanism included three processes: calcite formation, further hydration inside cracks, rehydration bulk

Self-Healing Characteristics of Damaged Rock Salt under Different Healing Conditions
Salt deposits are commonly regarded as ideal hosts for geologic energy reservoirs. Underground cavern construction-induced damage in salt is reduced by self-healing. Thus, studying the influencing factors on such healing processes is important. This research uses ultrasonic technology to monitor the longitudinal wave velocity variations of stress-damaged rock salts during self-recovery experime...

متن کاملDecalcification shrinkage of cement paste
Decalcification of cement paste in concrete is associated with several modes of chemical degradation including leaching, carbonation and sulfate attack. The primary aim of the current study was to investigate the effects of decalcification under saturated conditions on the dimensional stability of cement paste. Thin (0.8 mm) specimens of tricalcium silicate (C3S) paste, white portland cement (W...
متن کاملSelf-healing of damaged particulate materials through sintering
Particulate materials loaded under uniaxial compression and tension are studied using the Discrete Element Method (DEM). Self-healing of the damaged samples is activated through sintering, a process that effectively increases the contact adhesion (i.e., the tensile strength) between particles. The initial sample is prepared from spherical particles by applying high (isotropic) pressure, where p...
